SERVER RAM & CPU BUYBACK

Sell server memory and CPUs.

DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 RDIMM/LRDIMM, plus Xeon and EPYC processors from decommissioned servers — tested, untested, or mixed.

Server parts have their own market.

Registered and load-reduced DIMMs command a completely different price than desktop memory because they're built for multi-socket servers and can't be substituted with consumer RAM. The same is true of server CPUs: a used Xeon or EPYC that's five years old is worth more than a consumer chip of the same age, sometimes by an order of magnitude.

If you're decommissioning a rack and the memory and CPUs are going in a bin, they're worth pricing first. Versatec buys both, in bulk.

What we need from you

A part number is enough. If you don't have PNs handy, a photo of a module label or a rough count — "about 60 sticks, mostly 32GB DDR4, pulled from Dell R730s" — is enough to start a quote. We test and sort on our end.

Questions

Common questions about this category.

Do you buy RAM still installed in servers?

Yes. If you're decommissioning full servers rather than pulling memory first, mention that in the quote request and we can price the complete units.

Do you take mixed or untested memory lots?

Yes — that's actually where we're most competitive. Many buyback programs only quote sorted, tested inventory. We grade and test on arrival.

Do you buy DDR3?

Yes, though DDR3 pricing is lower than DDR4 and DDR5. Send the part numbers and quantity.

What about server CPUs on their own?

Yes. Xeon and EPYC processors pulled from servers quote well in bulk. Send model numbers (or a photo of the CPU markings) and quantities.

Any minimum quantity?

No set minimum. Bulk lots get priority pricing, but we look at smaller lots too.
